2011 Workshop Schedule
“The Remarkable Ancient Villages of Southern France”
May 14-21
From our centralized location near Avignon, we will explore nearby ancientvillages and the olive tree-filled countryside. Our photographic excursions will take us to Roussillon (which glows at sunset because of its ochre-colored stone buildings), Bonnieux, Menerbes, Lacoste and Apt. In addition to their obvious architectural interest, we will use them as an opportunity to hone your light management, compositional and people skills.

Typical Accomodations
Situated amidst orchards east of Avignon is a restored 1812 mas constructed of stone. It is large and will act as a beautiful vine-covered backdrop for some of our initial instruction. Outside, it has a wonderful gravel covered area perfect for el fresco dining and conversation. Like all of our accomodations, it is a quiet, rustic, comfortable and surrounded by acres of rolling scenery. You’ll love it.
NOTE: Specific accomodation will vary depending upon the number of participants.
